Arthurs_Seat_BuildingSQLSaturday #281 Edinburgh BI Edition is the first SQLSaturday event in Europe to be dedicated to Business Intelligence, so come and join us at this historic event! It will be held at the John McIntyre Centre at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th June, 2014. We are running a great value Training day on the Friday 13th June and on Saturday 14th June are holding  a fantastic Community day for free. The Friday Training day is on Friday 13th June 2014 and will deliver high quality training to delegates at the very low cost of £180 inclusive of VAT. The Friday training day helps to fund our free Saturday event so please support it. Our sessions are as follows and you can find more more information or register by clicking on each:

The SQLSaturday Community day is on Saturday 14th June 2014 and is FREE to attend. Please register by clicking here.

Based on feedback from our previous successful event in 2013, the SQLSaturday Edinburgh team decided to dedicate the Saturday free Community day to Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Visualisation and Big Data Analytics. Whilst we are asking for a £5 contribution for lunch you are welcome to bring your own lunch instead. This community day will be aimed at information workers, data stewards, data professionals, Business Intelligence professionals and Business Analytics professionals, however there will be something in there for everyone.

Please register soon for the event on Saturday 14th June as we are starting to fill and the event is still a few months away. Places are limited but passion for data is not!

Thank you to everyone who attended SQLSaturday Edinburgh!

SQLSaturday Edinburgh was a great success and thank you to everyone who attended!

We’d like to thank our sponsors for supporting our event. Without their support, this event would not have happened.

If you are looking for downloads of the session files, please keep checking here. Our speakers were all volunteers, who presented at our event and freely gave their time to support SQLSaturday Edinburgh and the SQL Server community in Scotland.  I’d like to thank them for their time and hard work in creating sessions for everyone’s learning.

I’d like to thank Martin Bell and Allan Mitchell in particular for their advice, support and help in organising the event. Yorkshirefolk are indeed the salt of the earth (along with the Scots!). You may already know them as SQLBits and SQLRelay organisers.

If you have any feedback, please email the SQLSaturday Edinburgh team at sqlsaturday202@sqlsaturday.com and we will be pleased to help you. We’d be interested to hear about the things that you liked about the event, as well as the things that you thought we could have done differently and most of all – would you like another event next year?

Best Wishes,

Jen Stirrup
